Man due in court over fatal stabbing of man in Limerick

Calo Carpaci (58) died after he received stab wounds in an assault in Limerick.

A MAN IS due in court in Limerick this morning charged in relation to the death of a man in his late-50s earlier this week.

Calo Carpaci (58) died after he received stab wounds in an assault in Limerick city centre at about 2pm on Wednesday.

Carpaci was taken to University Hospital Limerick with stab wounds and was pronounced dead a short time later.

The attack happened on Roches Row between Thomas Street and Roches Street.

Gardaí said that a man is due before Limerick District Court at 10.30am this morning charged in relation to the death.
